Lawrence
G. Goldberg, M.D. is a graduate of University of Louisville School of
Medicine and was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1971 and by
the American Board of Thoracic Surgery in 1972.
Dr. Goldberg
completed the Program for Health Care Negotiations and Conflict Resolution
Leadership at Harvard School of Public Health in April 2001.
He currently holds the position of Physician Advisor for
Utilization Management at Caritas Medical Center, Louisville, Kentucky.
He has served as President of Medical Staff at Caritas Medical
Center and as a Member of the Board of Directors of Caritas Health
Services. He served on the
Board of Directors of P.I.E. Mutual Insurance Company from 1988 to 1997
and is currently a Director of The Physician, Inc., an independent practice Association;
and, Physicians’ Health Plan from 1998 to present.
Dr. Goldberg is
licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky, Indiana and California, and is
a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Chest
Physicians, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, The Society of
Thoracic Surgeons, American Thoracic Society, as well as American Medical
Association and Kentucky and
Jefferson County Medical Societies.
Dr. Goldberg has
served both as a consultant and expert witness in medical malpractice
litigation. He has been active in the Louisville community
over the years and worked on many community non-profit projects and
Boards.
